Abstract

This research aims to determine efforts to facilitate learning and improve performance in Islamic Religious Education. By teaching and learning activities are closely related to the various parties involved, of course, educators and student activities in learning activities. This research was carried out using a qualitative approach, The data collected to find out this information, researchers used observation by observing the Islamic Religious Education learning process at the Zamuro Vocational High School. From the results of observations and research results, it can be seen that the two Islamic religious education teaching staff at the Zamuro Vocational High School fulfill their role as providers, namely by trying to listen to the wishes of the participants, be patient, facilitate learning activities, have a positive attitude, create friendly implementation and communicate personally, and patient with participants. However, sometimes the teacher's perspective is impatient, and occasionally he lectures his students. Second, the inhibiting factor is that the role of the teacher as a facilitator is not maximized, especially the dynamic factor of the teaching staff in studying, where the origin of the teaching staff usually teaching in the usual way is very influential. a strong influence on reading. The teaching staff's way of reading and the theory of the teacher's role as a facilitator is not yet optimal. In conclusion, the role of the teacher as a facilitator in explaining the learning of Islamic Religious Education at the Zamuro Vocational High School has been carried out but has not perfected the role of the teacher as a facilitator perfectly.
